What is CodexCV?
Platform overview
CodexCV is an all-in-one platform for building a professional CV, portfolio, and reference letters in Azerbaijani, Russian, English, or Turkish, tracking your job search, and generating cover letters. No design skills needed — just enter your information and the platform handles the rest.
How to get started
You can sign up with an email and password, or with one click using your Google account. Right after signing up, you're taken straight into the CV builder, and you can come back to it anytime — nothing is lost.
Who it's for
It's built for everyone — from recent graduates to experienced professionals — whether you're actively job hunting or just want to update your CV. Every feature is completely free during the launch period.
How you build your CV
Choosing a template
The first step is picking one of 81 designs — from classic and corporate styles to a dark "poster" design, a cream portfolio-card style, and a centred gold-plaque design. You can filter by popularity or by style — corporate, creative, technical, academic, medical, and more. While you're editing the template (or any other step), a live preview of your CV stays visible right next to it — changes show up instantly, no need to jump back and forth to a separate preview step. On mobile, that preview opens from a floating button in the bottom-right corner.
All-templates gallery (no account needed)
The "Browse all 81 templates" link on the homepage (or going straight to the /templates page) lets you see all 81 designs at full size with real sample content, without creating an account — you can filter by style. Clicking a template you like shows a "Start with this template" button: if you're not signed up yet, it takes you straight to the registration page with that template already selected; if you already have an account, it goes straight to the dashboard to create a new CV with that template. That way you can decide on a design before filling in a single field.
Personal info
You add your name, title, contact details, and a photo. You can upload a photo in any format (including iPhone's HEIC) and any size — the system automatically resizes and compresses it, so you never have to worry about format or size. If your photo is tall (portrait-orientation) and doesn't fit the frame cleanly, a small preview frame appears right below it where you can drag the photo with your finger or mouse to center exactly the part you want — your face, for instance. Whatever position you pick is applied consistently everywhere it appears, on both the CV and the cover letter.
Experience and education
You list your roles, companies, dates, and responsibilities, plus your education. Contextual tips next to each field help you phrase things correctly.
Skills and languages
You add your skills and the languages you speak, along with your proficiency level in each.
Language proficiency self-check
In the Languages section, each language has an optional "Check my level" button — a short, adaptive test (6 tiers, A1 through C2) available for English, Russian, and Azerbaijani, showing how accurate your declared level really is. It's entirely optional and never required to finish your CV — it's just honest feedback. Once a level is confirmed, a small "✓" appears next to that language on your CV.
Color and font customization
Every template has its own default color scheme and font pair, but you can change both yourself from the preview step if you'd like. Pick the accent color from 12 quick presets, or open the "+" button for a full color picker: a 178-color curated premium library organized by category, search, harmony suggestions (complementary, triadic, monochromatic, and more), a WCAG contrast checker, an on-screen eyedropper tool, and a personal library for your favorite and custom colors. For fonts, choose from 8 curated pairings (classic serif, modern sans-serif, literary style, and more) — each one is shown in its own actual font, so you see exactly what you're picking before you pick it. Both choices only ever apply to YOUR CV, and can be reset to the template's own design anytime with the "default" button.
Custom sections
Beyond the standard sections, you can add any number of your own — like "Projects", "Certificates", or "Volunteering" — reorder them, or hide the ones you don't need.
Editing section headings
On the "Sections" step, each standard section (Summary, Experience, Education, Projects, Skills, Languages, Certificates) has a small text field next to it — delete the heading shown on your CV there and replace it with whatever text you want, such as a translation into another language. This lets someone of any nationality adapt their CV's headings to their own country's language, independent of the platform's own interface language. The change only ever applies to YOUR CV — it never affects the platform's original template or any other user's CV. Leave the field blank and the default heading text keeps showing as usual.
Preview and download
The final step shows your CV's full preview, your ATS score, lets you generate a cover letter, turn on a shareable link, and download the PDF — all in one place.
Blind CV mode
Turning on "Blind CV mode" on the preview step hides your name, photo, birth date, and address from the downloaded PDF — job title, experience, education, skills, and contact details stay visible. This is for anonymized hiring processes that screen for skills before identity. It only affects the PDF you download at that moment — your saved CV and share link are unaffected, and you can turn it off anytime to download your normal CV.
Accessible export mode
The "Accessible export mode" toggle on the preview step replaces your template's visual design with a plain layout built for screen readers: real headings (H1/H2/H3), real bulleted lists, and no decorative or arbitrarily-positioned elements. All of your CV's content — name, work experience, education, skills, and everything else — stays exactly the same; only the formatting changes. It can be turned on together with Blind CV mode.
Autosave
There's no save button — every change is saved automatically a few seconds after you stop typing. When it finishes, a brief green "Saved" checkmark appears at the top so you know the change actually went through.
Progress indicator
Above the step tabs you'll see a thin progress bar and "X/11 steps completed" text — this counts a step as done based on whether it has real content, not just whether you've visited it. The Template, Sections, and Preview steps require nothing to fill in, so they always count as complete; the other steps only mark as complete once real data is entered (name and contact info, at least one work experience, one education entry, and so on). The small green checkmark next to each step tab reflects the same logic.
"Your CV is ready" message
Starting from the Skills step, if your name, at least one work experience, and one education entry are already filled in, a green notice appears: your CV is already ready to send, and the remaining sections (certificates, projects, languages, and so on) are entirely optional. This exists to counter "fill in everything or nothing" thinking — many people abandon a CV entirely thinking they don't have time, when they already have a perfectly usable one. Once dismissed, it won't reappear for that CV.
Exit reminder
While your CV isn't ready yet (i.e. the minimum conditions above aren't met), moving your mouse toward the top of the browser as if to leave the page may show a small, non-intrusive reminder: everything you've written is already saved automatically, and you can come back and continue anytime. It shows at most once per session and never blocks any navigation — it's purely informational.
Draft with AI (Pro/AI Plus)
On the Summary step, and in each education entry's description field, if there's already a bit of information elsewhere (e.g. work experience/skills, or the education entry's degree/field), a "✨ Draft with AI" button appears. This is different from the existing "Enhance with AI" button on the Work experience step — that one improves text you've already written, while this one offers 2-3 starting-point drafts from scratch, even if you haven't written anything yet. It's grounded only in the real information you've actually entered, and never invents a fake employer, date, or number. Available only to Pro (Job Search Pass) or AI Plus users — on the Free plan the button shows locked with a link to the Pricing page.
Example bullet-point library
On the Work experience step, the "Example sentences" button opens ready-made bullet points grouped by field (sales, IT, healthcare, education, and more) — copy any one with a click. No AI involved — these are fixed, hand-written examples; adapting them to your actual experience is up to you.
ATS compatibility
What is ATS?
An ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is software many large companies use to automatically scan and filter CVs before a human ever sees them. CVs that don't pass this filter often never reach a recruiter at all.
Real-text PDF export
Every CV built here exports to PDF as real, selectable text — never an image — which is what allows ATS software to actually read it correctly.
ATS score
On the Preview step, your CV is automatically scored and you're shown exactly what to improve.
Job-posting keyword matching
Paste in a job posting's text to see which keywords your CV is missing, so you can tailor it.
Cover letter generator
Auto-generated
Based on your CV's information and, optionally, a job description, a tailored cover letter is generated in seconds — no writing required.
Fully editable
The generated text is a starting point you're free to edit and make your own.
AI-powered tools
Overview and monthly limits
CV import, translation, job-match scoring, bullet rewriting, cover letters, mentor review, interview practice, and salary negotiation scripts all run on Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5 model at its high reasoning tier. These features aren't included on the Free plan; using them requires either the Job Search Pass (20 requests/month) or AI Plus (40 requests/month). If both are active at once, the limits stack rather than replace each other: 20 + 40 = 60 requests/month. Results are generated automatically and should always be reviewed by you before you rely on them.
AI-assisted CV import and translation
When you upload an existing CV file (PDF/Word), it's read with AI assistance and the data is automatically filled into the matching fields. The same technology is used when you translate a CV into another language (Azerbaijani, Russian, English) — it doesn't just copy the format, it actually translates the text. This also works with your LinkedIn profile: open your LinkedIn profile, click "More" → "Save to PDF," and upload that file through the same "Import from PDF/Word" button — the AI recognizes LinkedIn-specific sections (Top Skills, Contact, Certifications, etc.) and files them correctly.
AI job-match scoring
Unlike the simple keyword comparison in the ATS section, this feature sends the full job-posting text to the AI and returns a percentage match score for your CV, along with a concrete explanation of what's missing.
AI CV Tailor
The "Tailor my CV to this job" button next to the job-match result doesn't just score your fit — the AI rewrites your summary and the most relevant experience bullets for that specific posting, reorders your skills so the most relevant ones come first, and saves the result as a completely NEW, separate CV — your original is never touched. The AI only rewords facts already present in your CV; it never invents a new employer, skill, or achievement. Keywords from the posting that are genuinely missing from your CV are called out separately, so you only add them if they're actually true.
LinkedIn profile text generator
The "LinkedIn profile text" section below the ATS panel uses your CV's own data to write a headline and an "About" section you can paste straight into your LinkedIn profile. The About text is deliberately different from a CV summary — more personal, first-person, and in the tone LinkedIn readers expect.
AI bullet rewriter
Every line in the Work experience section has a "Strengthen" button next to it — it turns a weak, generic sentence into a more concrete, results-focused version with one click. You're free to edit the result afterward.
AI Mentor CV review
The "AI Mentor Review" section on the ATS panel evaluates your CV as a whole and gives structured feedback similar to what you'd get from an experienced mentor: an overall score, a verdict, concrete strengths and weaknesses, section-by-section feedback, and clear, actionable next steps.
AI interview practice
Answer realistic interview questions tailored to your CV, and get AI feedback on your answers — a way to test yourself before the real thing.
Salary and CV benchmarks (no AI credit cost)
See a realistic salary range based on your role, experience, and location, plus how your CV compares to others in your field. Unlike the features above, these two don't count against your monthly AI limit — use them freely.
AI salary negotiation script
Below the salary-benchmark page, enter your position, target salary, and optionally your current offer to get a concrete, ready-to-use negotiation script: how to open the conversation, what arguments to make, how to state your number, what to ask for instead if salary can't move, and which mistakes to avoid. If the platform has benchmark data for that position, the script takes it into account too. This uses one request from your monthly AI limit (unlike the salary benchmark itself).
Regional salary reference: Georgia and Turkey
Below the salary-benchmark page, you'll find average salary and minimum-wage figures for Georgia and Turkey, sourced from official national statistics offices (Geostat, TÜİK). Unlike the Azerbaijan benchmark, this isn't CodexCV user data — the source and date are shown next to every figure so you can verify it yourself.
Europass-style template
In the template picker, the template in the "European standard" category shows a blue "🇪🇺 Europass-style" badge — it follows the EU's Europass CV format and is useful for university exchange programs, EU institutions, and some official applications. Hover over it for a short explanation.
Compare job offers
On the same page, enter 2-4 job offers side by side to compare salary, bonus, leave days, and other benefits — the highest figure is flagged automatically. No login required, nothing is saved.
Talent Directory and messaging
What is this?
The Talent Directory (codexcv.com/directory) is CodexCV's built-in, opt-in LinkedIn/Hunter-style discovery layer. It only shows public CVs and portfolios from people who explicitly chose to be "found" there. Any visitor — logged in or not — can browse it and search by name, headline, or bio; logged-in visitors can message someone directly from their card.
How do I opt in?
This is a separate, additional option on top of plain "Public link" sharing. On any CV's or your portfolio's share panel, after turning the public link on, tick the "List in Talent Directory" checkbox that appears. Before it actually turns on, a confirmation dialog explains exactly what that means — because it means anyone browsing the directory can now find you, not just people you sent the link to. You can turn it off again anytime; that only removes your directory visibility, your public link itself is untouched.
Messaging another user
If you like someone's profile or CV in the directory, click "Send message" on their card (you'll need to be logged in). This opens a separate, private conversation between you and that person — completely apart from CodexCV support messages — shown in a "Your conversations" list above the regular Messages section. Starting a first, cold message only works while the other person is currently listed; once a conversation exists, you can keep replying even if they later remove themselves from the directory.
Reference letters aren't in the directory
Reference letters are still shared only via a direct link/QR code and aren't included in the Talent Directory — because a letter also names and identifies the referee giving it, and making that broadly public needs extra care.
For employers: search by skill and location
The "CVs" tab has two filters alongside the plain name search: by skill (e.g. typing "Excel" shows CVs that list that skill) and by location (city/country). This lets hiring companies search candidates who've opted into the directory without creating an account or paying anything — a full brokered marketplace (payment, contracts) doesn't exist yet, this is just an open, filterable discovery experience.
Digital achievement badges
You may see small badges on directory cards and public CV pages: 🎯 ATS-optimized (ATS score ≥80), ✅ Verified language (at least one language passed its knowledge check), 🌐 Multilingual (2+ languages added), ⭐ Complete profile (all core sections — personal info, experience, education, at least 3 skills — filled in). These badges don't come from any new quiz or test — they're all computed automatically from data already in your CV. There's nothing extra to do to earn one: just fill out your CV fully and well, and the badges appear on their own.
Notifications and view tracking
Get notified when someone views your work
The moment someone opens your CV, portfolio, or reference letter via its public link, a notification appears right away in the "Notifications" menu — which also shows exactly how many times, and on which dates, that document was opened.
Unfinished CV notification
At the same moment the 24-72h reminder email is sent, a matching notification is also added to the "Notifications" section — so even if you miss the email, the reminder will be waiting the next time you visit the site. Clicking it takes you straight into the CV builder, at the step you left off on.
What this can't track
This tracking only records opens of the link on the platform itself. If someone downloads your CV as a PDF and opens it on their own computer, that's outside your control and technically impossible to track — we're upfront about that limit.
Reference letters
Two ways to put one together
In the "Reference letters" section, you have two options: write the whole letter yourself, print it, and have your referee sign it by hand — or send them a link so they can fill in their own part (name, title, relationship to you, and the letter text) remotely.
No digital signature involved
Nothing is signed digitally anywhere in the system — the finished letter leaves blank space for a signature, made only on paper, by hand. Once your referee fills in their part, they can print the letter straight from their own screen and sign it right away.
Sharing and tracking
Every reference letter also gets its own public link and view history — just like your CV and portfolio.
Watermark
Every reference letter opened via its public link (including the printed copy) carries a small, non-removable "Prepared with CodexCV" watermark — this keeps the letter's source clear and stops it from being passed off as coming from somewhere else. Clicking the watermark takes you straight to the CodexCV homepage.
Managing your CVs
Completion checklist
At the top of your dashboard, you may see a short checklist of unfinished steps that would strengthen your CV: adding a photo, adding skills, adding experience or education, sharing your CV, and using the job tracker. Clicking any item takes you straight to that step. Finishing an item automatically crosses it out, and once everything's done, the checklist disappears on its own — the goal is to point you in the right direction early on, not to sit there as a permanent reminder.
Unfinished CV banner
If any of your CVs still doesn't have a name, at least one work experience, and one education entry filled in, an amber banner appears at the top of your dashboard linking straight to that CV. Unlike the completion checklist above, this banner checks ALL of your CVs, not just the one you most recently touched — so an older CV you started weeks ago and forgot about will show up here too. Each CV card also has a small bar showing how complete it is. Newly created CVs are now automatically named with their creation date (e.g. "CV — 09.08.2026") instead of "Untitled CV", so they don't read as blank in the list.
Email reminders
If you create a CV and haven't finished it within 24-72 hours (the minimum conditions above aren't met), CodexCV sends you a one-time reminder email inviting you to pick up right where you left off — no action is required, it's purely a helpful nudge. If you still haven't finished about a week later, a second email arrives with a different angle: maybe instead of writing from scratch, it's easier to just upload a CV you already have (PDF or Word) — that's exactly what this email offers. Separately, if you haven't logged in for a long time (over 45 days), a more general "your CV is still waiting" email is sent. You can unsubscribe from any of the three email types anytime, directly from the link in the email, with no login required.
Creating multiple CVs
You can create as many separate CVs as you like — for example, a different version for each job or field. They're all listed on the "My CVs" page, and you can switch between them anytime.
Version history
Your CV is automatically saved every few minutes while you edit. Made a change you regret? Roll back to any earlier version in one click.
Trash bin
Deleted CVs aren't gone immediately — you can restore them from the trash bin within 30 days.
PDF/Word import
Already have a CV as a PDF or Word file, in any design — including multi-column layouts? Upload it: the platform reads the document with AI assistance and automatically fills in the matching fields, then takes you into the builder to review and fix anything before saving — no need to retype it from scratch.
Comparing CVs
On the "My CVs" page, check the box next to two or more CVs and click "Compare" to view them side by side — handy for comparing versions tailored to different jobs.
Autofill with the browser extension
Every CV card has an "Export for browser extension" link that downloads a small file with your name, contact details, and work history. Load that file into the free CodexCV Autofill browser extension to fill out job application forms in one click. Everything about the extension is on the /extension page.
Job search tracker
Kanban board
Think of it as a 5-column table you'd draw on paper: you write each job on a card and put it in the right column, and whenever someone asks, you just look at which column the card is sitting in. Click "+ Add application" in the top right, fill in the company name (e.g. "Veysəloğlu"), position, posting link, salary, and your own note, then save — the card appears in the first column automatically. To move a card, just drag it with your mouse into another column — nothing complicated.
What the 5 columns mean (with examples)
Saved: jobs you haven't applied to yet, just ones you want to remember. Example: you liked a listing from Veysəloğlu but haven't sent your CV yet. Applied: jobs you've already sent your CV to, e.g. Kapital Bank. Interview: companies that invited you to meet, e.g. PAŞA Bank called. Offer: companies that offered you the job, e.g. ABB made an offer. Rejected: companies that turned you down, e.g. Retailor LLC sent a rejection — the card isn't deleted, just moved here so the history isn't lost. Click the "?" icon next to any column to read this explanation again anytime.
Compare CV versions
If you used AI CV Tailor to create a second, "— tailored" copy of an original CV, each application card lets you record exactly which version you actually sent via the "Which CV did you use?" field. After doing this for a few applications, open "Compare versions" on the My CVs page — it shows how many views, applications, and interview/offer outcomes each version got side by side, so you can see with real numbers which version actually performs better.
Portfolio
A separate showcase
In the "Portfolio" section, add real project samples (image, description, link) plus a headline and a short bio. This is entirely separate from your CV and completely optional.
A separate share link
Your portfolio has its own public link, independent from your CV — share just your CV, just your portfolio, or both. A view counter is available here too.
Download your portfolio as a PDF
On your portfolio's public page (once the share link is on), there's a "Download PDF" button at the top — it turns your portfolio into a real, selectable-text PDF document (not a screenshot), so you can email it directly or upload it wherever a job site expects an actual file. Any visitor sees this button too — an interested recruiter can save the page as a PDF themselves as well.
A personal address: yourname.codexcv.com
Users with an active Job Search Pass (Pro) can claim a personal address (e.g. aygun.codexcv.com) from the portfolio section — used in place of the standard share link, so you can present your CV at a more professional, memorable address.
Freelance / gig profile mode
Turning on "Freelance / gig profile mode" in the Portfolio section adds your hourly rate, availability status (Open for work / Limited / Not available), and a list of services offered right at the top of your public portfolio page, plus a button letting visitors contact you directly through the platform's internal messaging system. It works like a small "hire me" page rather than a plain CV — useful for anyone taking on freelance or gig work.
Help and guidance
"?" tooltips
Small "?" icons next to key fields and sections give you a short explanation when clicked.
Accessibility button: text size and high contrast
The "Aa" button in the bottom-left corner of the screen offers two platform-wide settings: bumping the text size up through three levels, and turning on a high-contrast mode for clearer color visibility. Your choice is remembered in your browser and applied automatically on future visits.
Onboarding tour
The first time you create a CV, a quick 6-step tour opens automatically. You can restart it any time from the link on the editor page.
This guide
The most detailed source of information about the platform. This page is updated whenever a new feature is added or an existing one changes. When you register, this guide also opens automatically as a window once — it's never mandatory, and you can close it any time with the "✕" in the top-right corner and continue into the platform.
"How does this work?" links
Next to the heading of sections like Account, Portfolio, Reference letters, and the Job Tracker, you'll see a small "❓ How does this work?" link. Clicking it jumps straight to that section's explanation in this guide.
Feedback and rating prompt
After saving your CV, portfolio, or reference letter, or occasionally when you visit the dashboard, a small "Rate CodexCV" prompt may appear if you haven't rated the platform yet. This is how we learn about problems and suggestions people don't always write in about — close it with "Maybe later" if you're not in the mood, or leave a rating once and it won't ask again. If you rate us 4 stars or higher, you'll also see an optional link to leave the same kind of review on Trustpilot — entirely up to you, and never shown for a lower rating.
Quick search
Ctrl+K to jump anywhere
Click the search box in the top menu, or press "Ctrl+K" ("Cmd+K" on Mac), to jump straight to any part of the platform — your CVs, your portfolio, settings, even specific pages — by typing just a few letters.

You can message the platform admin directly to ask questions or request help.
Editing, deleting, and read receipts
You can edit or delete a message you've sent, after the fact. You can also see whether a message was delivered and read, using WhatsApp-style ✓✓ checkmarks.

Ratings
You can rate the platform overall, or individual templates — which also helps other users choose.
Ratings below 5 stars need a reason
If you give the platform a rating below 5 stars, you'll need to write a short reason — the field can't be left empty. This is so our team can actually understand what went wrong and fix it. If what you write is chaotic, unreadable characters (like randomly hitting keys), the system won't accept it and will ask you to write more clearly instead — you'll also get a notification about it. This exists so no one can leave a low rating without explaining what's bothering them.
Public testimonials ("What users say")
When rating the platform, you can tick "Show this as a testimonial on the homepage." Only reviews with a 4+ rating and a comment that you've personally opted into showing appear on the homepage (first name only, no last name). You can turn this off at any time.

Azerbaijan job sites
A curated list of 20+ trustworthy job listing sites, with direct links, so you have somewhere to put your finished CV to work.
Job sites worldwide
Clicking the green banner on the "Job listing sites" page takes you to a separate section covering job sites for 60+ countries (including Azerbaijan). Countries are grouped by region — Global/International, Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, and Oceania — and the search box lets you quickly find a country, open it, and see every job site for that country along with a "Visit site" button next to each. This makes CodexCV useful not just for the Azerbaijani market, but for anyone job-hunting anywhere in the world — you can send your finished CV straight to the site of whichever country you're targeting.
CV format guide (by country)
Below each country's job-sites page is a short "CV format guide": the local terminology (e.g. "Lebenslauf" in Germany), whether including a photo on your CV is customary there (usually expected / common / depends on the employer / discouraged), and the typical length. This is general guidance based on common practice, not a strict rule — when in doubt, it's worth keeping both a with-photo and without-photo version ready. It currently covers 30+ of the most commonly targeted countries; others show general advice instead.
What's new
The homepage shows a running list of new features and changes after every update.
Blog
The "Blog" link in the footer leads to a collection of free, fact-based articles on writing a CV, how ATS systems actually work, and preparing for interviews — no invented statistics, just real, applicable advice. Each article is available in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English.
Install as an app (PWA)
CodexCV can be installed to your phone's or computer's home screen as an app. When your browser supports it (Chrome/Edge, on both phone and desktop), a small banner with an "Install" button appears at the top of the screen — clicking it turns CodexCV into a full app in its own window with its own icon. Without an internet connection, you'll see a clear "you're offline" message instead of the browser's generic error screen.
Your account
Four languages
Switch the platform's interface between Azerbaijani, Russian, English, and Turkish at any time, from the language switcher in the top menu. You can also write your CV in any of these four languages, regardless of the interface language.
Changing your password
From the Account page, you can set a new password by entering your current one.
Forgot password
Click "Forgot your password?" on the login page and enter your email to receive a reset link. After several failed login attempts, the account is temporarily locked for security.
Account recovery: backup codes and backup email
From the "Account recovery" section on the Account page, you can set up two extra ways to get back into your account if you forget your password AND lose access to your email at the same time. First, a backup email — add a second address and confirm it by clicking the link sent to it; after that, even without access to your primary inbox, you can use the "Forgot password" flow through your backup address instead. Second, backup codes — 10 secure, one-time codes generated with a single click; they're shown on screen ONLY ONCE when created, so save them somewhere safe right away (a password manager or a printout). If you later lose access to both your email and your password, go to the "Try a backup code instead" link on the Forgot Password page, enter your email and one unused code, and set a new password directly — no email needed at all. On top of that, if your account is linked to Google, you can always log in with the "Continue with Google" button even if you forget your password. Every time you generate backup codes or confirm a backup email, a security notice is automatically sent to your primary email — so if anyone ever gets into your account without permission and tries to change these settings, you'll notice right away. Note: phone-number-based SMS recovery is NOT available yet — that requires choosing and paying for a real, working SMS provider, and that decision hasn't been made yet; rather than ship a fake or non-functional feature, the two methods above are fully working and reliable right now.
Three plans: Free, Job Search Pass, and AI Plus
CodexCV has three tiers. Free is the base plan you can use without paying anything. The Job Search Pass (sometimes just called "Pro") is a one-time, 3-month bundle of extra perks — unlimited CVs, all templates, and more. AI Plus is a separate, monthly recurring add-on that only raises your monthly AI feature limit. The three don't replace one another: you can buy the Job Search Pass and AI Plus separately or together — neither one requires you to also have the other.
What does the Free plan include?
On the Free plan, PDF export, Azerbaijani/Russian/English, the job tracker, portfolio, reference letters, and the salary/CV benchmarks are all fully available — no payment required. AI features (CV import, translation, match scoring, bullet rewriting, cover letters, mentor review, interview practice) are NOT included on Free — those need the Job Search Pass or AI Plus. Note: since the Job Search Pass isn't on sale yet (final payment-provider approval is pending), unlimited CVs and all 81 templates are temporarily open to Free users too; once the pass goes live, the Free plan will return to its real limits (for example, up to 3 CVs).
How does the Job Search Pass work? (with an example)
The Job Search Pass costs 12.99 AZN and is NOT a monthly subscription — it's a one-time payment. From the moment you buy it, for 90 days (about 3 months) you get: unlimited CVs, all 81 templates, 20 AI requests/month, "who viewed it and when" analytics, share links without a watermark, early access to new features, and priority support. Example: say you buy the pass on August 2 — 90 days later, around October 31, you're automatically switched back to the Free plan with nothing further for you to do; your card isn't charged again because there's no subscription to cancel. If you'd like, after (or even before) it expires you can pay another 12.99 AZN for a fresh 90-day period — but note that a new purchase does NOT stack on top of remaining days; it starts a brand-new 90-day period from today. (Note: this pass currently shows as "Coming soon" — it will go on sale once final payment-provider approval is complete.)
How does AI Plus work? (with an example)
AI Plus is a monthly recurring subscription at 8.99 AZN/month that ONLY raises your monthly AI feature limit to 40 requests — it doesn't touch your CV count, template access, or analytics. Example: if you're on the Free plan and buy AI Plus, your CV/template limit stays exactly the same (currently unlimited, temporarily), but you can now use CV import, translation, match scoring, bullet rewriting, cover letters, mentor review, or interview practice up to 40 times a month. The following month, on the same date, your card is automatically charged 8.99 AZN again and the limit resets. You can cancel anytime from the Account page; even after cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for — it simply won't renew again.
Buying both together — how do AI credits stack?
Some users want both the Job Search Pass and AI Plus at the same time — that's entirely possible, and the two are independent of each other. CV count, template access, analytics, and watermark-free sharing depend ONLY on the Job Search Pass. The AI request limit, though, is the SUM of credits from both: the Job Search Pass alone gives 20, AI Plus alone gives 40, but when both are active AT THE SAME TIME, they don't replace each other — they stack, for 60 requests/month. Example: Aygun buys the Job Search Pass for 12.99 AZN and also AI Plus for 8.99 AZN — her total cost is 12.99 + 8.99 = 21.98 AZN. In return, for 90 days she gets unlimited CVs, all templates, watermark-free sharing, view analytics, AND 60 AI requests a month (once the Pass's 90 days end, if AI Plus is still running on its own monthly cycle, the limit drops back to 40).
How does payment work?
Payments are processed through Lemon Squeezy, an international, trusted payment provider — your card details are entered directly on Lemon Squeezy's secure checkout page, not on CodexCV's own servers. All prices are billed in Azerbaijani manat (AZN); the approximate USD price shown on the platform is just for convenience — at checkout, Lemon Squeezy will show the exact amount in your own currency at the real-time rate.
Cancellation and renewal
AI Plus can be cancelled anytime with the "Manage subscription" button on the Account page — after cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, then your card simply isn't charged again. The Job Search Pass has nothing to cancel, since it isn't a subscription — it's a one-time payment that automatically reverts to the Free plan on its own after 90 days. In either case, deleting your account from the "Danger zone" also removes any active plans.
Deleting your account
From the "Danger zone" section at the bottom of your account page, you can permanently delete your own account and everything tied to it (CVs, portfolio, messages, and more) yourself, immediately — no need to contact support. Since this can't be undone, the system first asks you to type your email address, then shows a confirmation prompt.
Email preferences
You can turn off "it's been a while" reminder emails at any time — either from the toggle on your account page, or via a one-click link in the email itself (no login required).
Download all your data
The "Download my data" button on the Account page lets you instantly download everything tied to your account — your profile info, all your CVs, portfolio, reference letters, job search tracker, submitted reviews, and feedback — as a single JSON file. No waiting period or contacting support required; your password and other sensitive internal data are never included in the file.
Invite friends, earn free Pro time
The Account page has your own personal invite link. When a friend you shared it with registers through that link and then buys a Job Search Pass or AI Plus, 30 days of Pro access are automatically added to your account — nothing further to do on your end. The reward only fires once your friend actually pays, not just from signing up; but there's no limit on how many friends can convert — you earn a separate 30 days for each one. The Account page shows how many people signed up, how many converted, and your total days earned. This same link is also shown in the window that opens when you finish a CV and rate the platform, so you don't need to visit the Account page separately to find it.
Rating the platform when you finish a CV
When you finish the last step in the CV builder and click "Finish", a short window opens asking you to rate the platform from 1 to 5 stars and, if you'd like, leave a comment. This is entirely optional — you can close it with "Maybe later", and it'll only ask again after your next finished CV. But once you've rated the platform, this window never appears again. Right after you submit your rating, the window immediately shows your personal invite link so you can share it with a friend right away if you'd like.
For organizations
Bulk access
Bulk-access packages are available for university career centers, HR companies, staffing agencies, and bootcamp organizers — pricing is transparent, sold in seat-count blocks (e.g. 25, 100, 500+ seats), with the per-seat price dropping as the seat count grows. On the "/for-organizations" page you can pick a package, enter your seat count, and see the exact price instantly. No account required.
Package picker and detailed terms
Each package card updates the per-seat price, one-time setup fee, and total first-year cost live as you enter a seat count. Before submitting an order, a "Read the full terms" button shows that package's complete, detailed terms (AI quota, how extra seats beyond the block are billed, contract length, and more), which you must accept — nothing is left unclear. Once an order is submitted, those exact terms are preserved permanently, even if an admin later updates prices.
Organization type selector
For anyone who just wants to send a message, a separate form also asks "What kind of organization are you?" (University/bootcamp, Staffing/HR agency, Employer, Other) — useful if you have a question before picking a specific package.
Embed a "Create your CV" button
At the bottom of the "/for-organizations" page, there's a ready-made code snippet for partner sites — copy it onto your own site and your visitors will see a button leading straight to CodexCV's registration page. You can optionally label it with your own site name for your own tracking.
