Terms of Service

CodexCV is operated by Mirnicat Seyidzadə, based in Baku, Azerbaijan ("CodexCV", "we", "us"). You can reach us at any time at seyidzade.mirnicat@gmail.com.

Seller information required by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Electronic Commerce" (name, address, contacts, tax identification number and accepted payment methods) is published on our Seller information page. Phone: +994 50 706 70 06.

CodexCV is a digital Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product that runs entirely online. It lets you create, edit and export ATS-compatible CVs/resumes and cover letters using a library of design templates, and provides AI writing assistance, ATS-compatibility checks, a job application tracker, portfolio pages and reference letters.

Nothing physical is ever shipped. Access to paid features is delivered digitally and activated on your CodexCV account immediately after a successful payment.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• Provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• One account is for one person. Do not share, sell or transfer your account.
• Tell us right away at seyidzade.mirnicat@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent of your parent or legal representative.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• create fraudulent or forged documents, misrepresent your qualifications, or impersonate another person;
• upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, or that you have no right to use;
• send spam or unsolicited messages to other members through messaging or the Talent Directory;
• scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or attack the Service, or bypass usage limits, paywalls or security measures;
• resell or provide the Service or its AI features to third parties without our written permission.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Employers posting jobs on CodexCV (free) additionally agree to the honest-job standard: a real salary range (the maximum no more than twice the minimum), the actual hiring steps, an answer to every applicant within the promised number of days, no requirements based on age, gender, marital status, appearance, ethnicity or religion unless strictly required by law for the role, never asking candidates for money, skill tasks of at most 120 minutes that are not real production work, and using applicants' data only for that hiring process. Listings are moderated before publication; we may reject, unpublish or suspend employers that break these rules. Employers act as separate data controllers for the applications they receive.

AI assistants you connect to CodexCV (for example Claude or ChatGPT) act on your instructions within the permissions you approved; you remain responsible for checking what they create before you use it, and you can disconnect them at any time in your account.

You own everything you put into CodexCV — your CVs, texts, photos and other materials. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the Service for you (for example, to render your CV, generate a PDF, or show a public link you chose to create).

You are responsible for the accuracy of your content. Public links and Talent Directory listings are always your choice and can be switched off at any time.

Some features (such as CV import and translation, job-match scoring, bullet rewriting, cover letters, mentor review and interview practice) use artificial intelligence provided by Anthropic. AI output is generated automatically, is not reviewed by a human, and may be inaccurate or incomplete. It is not legal, financial or career advice — always review and edit it before you rely on it.

AI features are subject to the monthly request allowance of your plan, shown on the pricing page. How your text is processed is explained in our Privacy Policy.

The Service offers a Free plan and paid options, described with their current prices on the pricing page:

• Job Search Pass — a one-time payment that unlocks paid features for 90 days. It does not renew automatically and there is nothing to cancel.
• AI Plus — a subscription billed monthly or annually. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it.
• Plans for organizations are agreed separately, in writing.

Prices are listed in US dollars and exclude taxes. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Dodo Payments handles payment, billing and refund requests; we answer every question about the product itself. Dodo Payments calculates and collects any VAT or sales tax that applies in your country and shows the final total before you pay. Your payment is processed under the Dodo Payments Privacy Policy.

Launch period: while CodexCV is launching, some features that will later require a paid plan are temporarily available to everyone for free. You are never charged unless you actively buy a plan, and we will announce any change to what the Free plan includes in advance.

Referral rewards and promotional credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

What we sell: everything sold on CodexCV is access to features of the CodexCV software itself — the Job Search Pass, the AI Plus subscription and licences for organizations. We do not sell job postings, access to candidate data, recruitment or placement, consulting or any other service performed by people. The Talent Directory and the list of job websites are free, informational features of the software: they are never sold, and neither employers nor candidates are ever charged for them.

• An AI Plus subscription starts on the day of purchase and renews automatically for the same billing period (one month or one year) at the price shown at checkout, until cancelled.
• Dodo Payments charges the payment method you used on each renewal date and emails you a receipt.
• If we ever change the price of your subscription, we will email you at least 14 days before the new price applies. The new price only applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
• If a renewal payment fails, Dodo Payments may retry it for a short period. If it cannot be collected, the subscription ends and your account continues on the Free plan.

You can cancel an AI Plus subscription at any time with one click: go to Account → Billing & subscriptions → "Manage or cancel subscription". This opens the secure Dodo Payments customer portal, where you confirm the cancellation. You can also email us and we will cancel it for you.

After cancellation you will not be charged again, and you keep AI Plus until the end of the billing period you already paid for. Deleting your CodexCV account also cancels an active subscription automatically.

First purchases are covered by our 14-day money-back guarantee, under the conditions described in our Refund Policy. Refunds are issued by Dodo Payments to your original payment method.

If you live in the EU, the UK or another country that gives consumers a right of withdrawal for online purchases, you agree that the digital service is provided immediately after purchase. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country.

Customers in Azerbaijan keep all their rights under the Laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Protection of Consumer Rights" and "On Electronic Commerce". Our refund rules add to these rights and never limit them.

The Service, including its software, design, templates and the CodexCV brand, belongs to us and is protected by law. You may use the templates to create documents for your own job search; you may not copy, resell or redistribute the templates or the Service itself.

If you believe content on CodexCV infringes your rights, email seyidzade.mirnicat@gmail.com with a description of the right, the exact link to the content, your contact details and a statement that your claim is accurate. We review well-founded notices and remove infringing content within a reasonable time.

We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue a paid feature you are currently paying for, we will give you reasonable notice and a pro-rated refund for any unused prepaid period.

The Service is provided "as is". CodexCV is a tool for creating CVs and applications; it does not guarantee interviews, job offers or any particular outcome.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from the "Danger zone" section of your account page; this permanently deletes your data and cancels any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these Terms; where a paid plan is terminated for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused part of it.

You may use the Service only in compliance with applicable sanctions laws (including those of the UN, the US, the EU and the UK). Dodo Payments does not accept payments from certain countries; paid plans are therefore not available there.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or on the site before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account.

These Terms are available in English, Azerbaijani, Russian and Turkish. If the versions differ, the English version prevails, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
