CV format guide
What to know about local CV conventions before you apply in this country.
In South Korea, a photo and date of birth are standard on the private sector's fixed template (tied to seniority-based hiring culture). But public-sector roles have used a mandatory "blind hiring" standard form since 2017 that strips personal details/photo. 1-2 pages, rigid template.
These are general guidelines based on common practice, not hard rules — a specific employer's expectations can differ. When in doubt, it's safe to keep both a with-photo and a without-photo version ready.
