In Spain, including a photo is widespread and most HR professionals expect it. 1-2 pages is normal, a cover letter (carta de presentación) is often expected, and nationality/ID number is sometimes noted too.
These are general guidelines based on common practice, not hard rules — a specific employer's expectations can differ. When in doubt, it's safe to keep both a with-photo and a without-photo version ready.
